Abstract

Collective bargaining in the field of higher education has expanded significantly during the decade of the 1970's. This study uses key word and content analysis of contents at the beginning and end of the decade to identify and clarify contract content items. Contracts from all regions, bargaining agents, and types of institutions are included in the study. Community junior colleges and senior institution data are presented separately. Items that are found in fewer than 10 per cent of the contracts but offer promise for significant growth during the 1980's are included.
