Abstract

This study used longitudinal data to investigate the relationship between unionization and faculty commitment to their university and academic college. The results revealed that the introduction of a collective bargaining unit did not significantly influence the level of expressed commitment of either the university or academic college. The implication of these findings for theory and application are considered.
