Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the steps needed to win in arbitration. There are six main areas that must be considered in planning and presenting an arbitration case. These areas are: the contract; management or union personnel training; investigation of the facts; preparation of the witnesses; presentation of the case; and closing briefs-whether oral or written. Attention to these details should increase the possibility of winning in arbitration.
