Abstract

The concepts of ideology and power and the relationships between the two as they operated in the Florida teacher walkout of 1968 form the substance of this paper. The first parts of the paper are spent in defining the concepts and illustrating their applicability to the walkout activities. After this is done, the relationship of power and ideology to each other is closely examined.
