A.Salvia divinorum is a member of the Lamiaceae (mint) family that has been traditionally used by Mazatec shamans for spiritual divination, and more recently S. divinorum has become increasingly used as a recreational hallucinogen. B. Salvinorin A is the active component of S. divinorum. C. Salvinorin B is a potential salvinorin A metabolite resulting from ester hydrolysis and is relatively inactive at KOR.
