Angioplasty for Arteriosclerotic Renal-Artery Stenosis?

In a study, 106 patients with substantial hypertension and atherosclerotic renal-artery stenosis, were randomly assigned to medication management versus angioplasty. After one year, there were no statistically significant differences in blood pressure or renal function. (N Engl J Med. 2000;342:1007-1014).
