Abstract

Federal requirements governing the employment of relatives is explored and analyzed from the standpoint of written policy and actual practice. Public policy, law and labor arbitration are reviewed to detail the interrelating parameters within which federal requirements are implemented. The article concludes with a recommendation that the employment of relatives in government be determined through flexible application of rules which pace citizen preference on a case by case basis.
