A METHOD FOR PREDICTING CONTESTED UNION REPRESENTATION ELECTIONS

Abstract

This article, using demographic organizational, and attitudinal data from participants in a public sector representation election contested by two unions, explores through the use of discriminant analysis how well demographic and organizational variables can predict the election outcome. The potential implications of this method of prediction by unions are discussed.
