Abstract

Two hundred and nineteen Tennessee public school principals employed by bargaining and nonbargaining districts responded to a questionnaire designed to survey the principal's perceived power in the exercise of administrative prerogatives. Data were analyzed through t-tests and stepwise regression analysis. Result indicated that collective bargaining inhibits the decision-making power of principals in Tennessee.
