Abstract

The reduce delay and cost associated with conventional arbitration methods, the potential of technology is examined. Existing approaches to conserving time are summarized. Technology can be used to assist decision makers or to moderate the process itself through teleconferencing. In considering the potential for change in the arbitration process, the implications of organizational type, experience of the parties, and type of issue are reviewed.
