Abstract
A survey to measure the impact of teacher unionism on college campuses in Illinois found that unionism was definite trend and it may be expected to increase. Most organizing efforts were centered on the public sector, especially the junior colleges. The typical union items were mostly lacking in higher education contracts: security clauses and grievance procedures. Most disputes were over wages, rather than participation in policy making. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
