Abstract

Interest arbitration of economic issues is common in the public sector. There are numerous standards that are utilized by neutrals in deciding upon the proper economic package to be awarded. One of the most commonly applied, yet difficult to operationalize, standards is comparability. This article examines comparability, its uses, and its limitations in public sector interest arbitration cases.
