Abstract
This study examined the effects of income, education, and occupational equity on union and company commitment as derived from the predictions of equity theory. The data were collected from a sample of white-collar workers employed in a large utility agency of the federal government (N = 145). Significant positive relationships were found between education and occupational equity and company commitment but not union commitment. The implications of these findings for equity theory and application are considered. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
