Abstract
This article, in outline format, spells out the methods, grounds, and procedures for disciplining tenured educational employees in New York State. The information is based on the state s four-year experience with amendments to its education law, from 1994 to 1998. Also covered are prehearing, hearing, and posthearing procedures, disciplinary penalties, and the appeals process. The author cites examples of cases adjudicated under the revised provisions. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
