Abstract

This article describes the leadership role played by the community college in a trend toward collective bargaining in higher education. Reviewing the unique characteristics that impel the community college toward negotiations, the authors present an analysis of existing and proposed areas to be incorporated into agreements. The future trend is forecast predicated on today's college involvement.
