Abstract
The authors studied a sample of thirty-four arbitrators and eighty-two arbitration decisions handed down in central New York State between 1969 and 1976. Studied were characteristics of arbitrators and whether more decisions were awarded to labor or to management. It was found that awards varied depending on the issue involved, and that a small number of arbitrators handled a large percentage of cases. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
