Describe the physiologic effects desired when achieving balanced anesthesia.
Describe pharmacologic and pharmacokinetic properties of drugs used to achieve and reverse balanced anesthesia.
Describe side effects/toxicities/contraindications associated with drugs used in general anesthesia.
Describe the decision-making process when selecting drugs:
  1. to achieve a desired depth of anesthesia;

  2. that are appropriate for a specific clinical context involving comorbidities; and

  3. that are appropriate for the tempo of the procedure to be performed.
