■ Efficient Synthesis of 1-Substituted 2,5-Dicyanopyrrolidines by the Strecker Reaction Using Succinaldehyde and Primary Amines, and Their Stereochemistry

Abstract

An efficient sequence proposed here for new synthesis of 1-substituted 2,5-dicyanopyrrolidines involves the simple Strecker reaction using succinaldehyde bis-sodium bisulfite and primary amines. Furthermore, their stereochemistry is also discussed.
