There is a pending Request for Opinion regarding a proposed neotype to replace VPI 0989. The type material in the collections is currently in question. JCM incorrectly asserts VPI 990 as type material, while ATCC asserts it as non-type. This assertion was made in Bergey's 1st Edition but was not yet ruled on by the Judicial Commission.
