Sekeyová et al. 1998 indicated that the type strain was deposited in Collection of the World Health Organization Collaborative Center for Rickettsial Reference (Marseille, France), but no accession numbers were given. A 2014 report indicates that 13-B (=CSUR R154) is the type strain.
