Nomenclatural History
The genus Terrimonas was originally proposed and validly published by Xie and Yokota 2006. Zhang et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2012. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Jin et al. in 2013 and Kämpfer et al. in 2011.
