Nomenclatural History
The species Bacillus altitudinis was originally described and validly published by Shivaji et al. 2006. Liu et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Liu et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Branquinho et al. 2014 in 2015.
