Nomenclatural History
The species Gluconacetobacter kombuchae was originally described and validly published by Dutta and Gachhui 2007. Cleenwerck et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of corrig. (Gosselé et al. 1983) Yamada et al. 1998 emend. Lisdiyanti et al. 2006 in 2009. In 2012, Yamada et al. established as the basonym of (Dutta and Gachhui 2007) Yamada et al. 2013 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
