The species Labrenzia aggregata was originally described and validly published by Biebl et al. 2007. Biebl et al. formed this name in 2007 by placing the species
Stappia aggregata (ex Ahrens 1968) Uchino et al. 1999
into the genus Labrenzia Biebl et al. 2007 emend. Bibi et al. 2014.
