Nomenclatural History
The species Lysobacter enzymogenes was originally described by Christensen and Cook 1978. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lin et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. In 1978, Christensen and Cook reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form Christensen and Cook 1978 .
