Nomenclatural History

The species Mobiluncus curtisii was originally described and validly published by Spiegel and Roberts 1984. Hoyles et al. published an emended description of this species in 2004. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nouioui et al. in 2018. In 1984, Spiegel and Roberts reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form
