Nomenclatural History
The species Nocardiopsis dassonvillei was originally described by Meyer 1976. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Yassin et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of corrig. Grund and Kroppenstedt 1990 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 1997. Yassin et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of corrig. Abyzov et al. 1984 in 1997. Nouioui et al. elevated the subspecies (Brocq-Rousseau 1904) Meyer 1984 to the rank of species to form this name in 2018.

Nouioui et al. 2018 effectively elevated Nocardiopsis dassonvillei subsp. dassonvillei back to a species by removing the only remaining subspecies.
