Nomenclatural History
The species Paracoccus bengalensis was originally described by Ghosh et al. 2006. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 112 in 2006. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Liu et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Harrison 1983) Katayama et al. 1996 emend. Liu et al. 2020 in 2020.
