Nomenclatural History
The species Ruegeria pomeroyi was originally described and validly published by Yi et al. 2007. Vandecandelaere et al. published an emended description of this species in 2008. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Hördt et al. in 2020. Yi et al. formed this name in 2007 by placing the species González et al. 2003 into the genus Uchino et al. 1999 emend. Wirth and Whitman 2018.
