Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces diastaticus was originally described by Waksman and Henrici 1948. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Komaki and Tamura published an emended description of this species in 2020. In 1958, Pridham et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Krainsky 1914) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) . Komaki and Tamura established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Duché 1934) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2020. Komaki and Tamura established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Waksman and Curtis 1916) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2020.
