Nomenclatural History
The genus Endozoicomonas was originally proposed by Kurahashi and Yokota 2007. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 116 in 2007. Nishijima et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2013. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Pike et al. in 2013 and Bartz et al. in 2018.
