Nomenclatural History
The species Sulfitobacter guttiformis was originally described and validly published by Yoon et al. 2007. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Yoon et al. formed this name in 2007 by placing the species Labrenz et al. 2000 into the genus Sorokin 1996 emend. Liang et al. 2021.
