Nomenclatural History

The species Globicatella sanguis was originally described by Collins et al. 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 53 in 1995. Trüper and De' Clari corrected this name from Globicatella sanguis (sic) to Globicatella sanguinis .
