Nomenclatural History
|
The species Methylophilus leisingerii was originally described by Doronina and Trotsenko 1994. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 78 in 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Methylophilus leisingerii (sic) to Methylophilus leisingeri .
