Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces castelarensis was originally described and validly published by Kumar and Goodfellow 2008. Kumar and Goodfellow elevated the subspecies corrig. Cercós 1954 (Approved Lists 1980) to the rank of species to form this name in 2008. Komaki and Tamura established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Waksman 1957 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Komaki and Tamura 2020 in 2020.
