Nomenclatural History
The species Odoribacter splanchnicus was originally described and validly published by Hardham et al. 2008. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Hardham et al. formed this name in 2008 by placing the species Werner et al. 1975 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Hardham et al. 2008.
