The genus Sediminibacterium was originally proposed and validly published by Qu and Yuan 2008. Kämpfer et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2011. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Kim et al. in 2013. This name replaces the name
Solibius None 2015
.
