Nomenclatural History
The species Chryseobacterium aquaticum was originally described and validly published by Kim et al. 2008. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. In 2019, García-López et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Kim et al. 2008) García-López et al. 2020 .
