Nomenclatural History
The species Francisella piscicida was originally described by Ottem et al. 2007. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 119 in 2008. Euzéby established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Mikalsen et al. 2007 in 2008. Ottem et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Mikalsen et al. 2007) Ottem et al. 2009 emend. Ramirez-Paredes et al. 2020 in 2009.
