Nomenclatural History	The species Halobacterium piscisalsi was originally described and validly published by Yachai et al. 2008. Minegishi et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Halobacterium salinarum corrig. (Harrison and Kennedy 1922) Elazari-Volcani 1957 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Gruber et al. 2004 in 2012.
