The phylum Tenericutes was originally proposed by Murray 1984. This name was validly published by Oren and Garrity 2021. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Tenericutes (sic) to Mycoplasmatota . Whitman et al. corrected this name from Tenericutes (sic) to Mollicutota .
