Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Photorhabdus temperata thracensis was originally described and validly published by Tailliez et al. 2010. Tailliez et al. formed this name in 2010 by placing the subspecies Hazir et al. 2004 into the species Fischer-Le Saux et al. 1999 emend. Machado et al. 2018. Machado et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name (Hazir et al. 2004) Machado et al. 2018 in 2018.
