The species Chryseobacterium solincola was originally described and validly published by Benmalek et al. 2010. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. In 2020, Nicholson et al. established as the basonym of (Benmalek et al. 2010) Nicholson et al. 2020 .
