The species Lysinibacillus sinduriensis was originally described and validly published by Jung et al. 2012. In 2019, Gupta and Patel established as the basonym of (Jung et al. 2012) Gupta and Patel 2020 .

This name was originally proposed in 2010 but was retracted and re-proposed in 2012.
