Nomenclatural History
The species Bacteroides chinchillae was originally described and validly published by Kitahara et al. 2011. Sakamoto and Ohkuma established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Clavel et al. 2010 emend. Sakamoto and Ohkuma 2012 in 2012. In 2019, García-López et al. established as the basonym of (Kitahara et al. 2011) García-López et al. 2020 .
