The species Loktanella tamlensis was originally described and validly published by Lee 2012. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. In 2018, Wirth and Whitman established Loktanella tamlensis as the basonym of
Yoonia tamlensis (Lee 2012) Wirth and Whitman 2018 emend. Hördt et al. 2020
