The species Streptomyces seranimatus was originally described by Wang et al. 2007. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 148 in 2012. In 2019, Komaki and Tamura established as the basonym of (Wang et al. 2012) Komaki and Tamura 2019 .
