Nomenclatural History
The species Gemmobacter nectariphilus was originally described and validly published by Chen et al. 2013. Chen et al. formed this name in 2013 by placing the species Tanaka et al. 2004 into the genus Rothe et al. 1988 emend. Kang et al. 2017. In 2020, Hördt et al. established as the basonym of (Tanaka et al. 2004) Hördt et al. 2020 .
