The species Fictibacillus gelatini was originally described and validly published by Glaeser et al. 2013. Glaeser et al. published an emended description of this species in 2013. Glaeser et al. formed this name in 2013 by placing the species De Clerck et al. 2004 into the genus Glaeser et al. 2013.
