The species Kosakonia radicincitans was originally described by Brady et al. 2013. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 154 in 2013. Brady et al. formed this name in 2013 by placing the species Kämpfer et al. 2005 into the genus Brady et al. 2013 emend. Gu et al. 2014.
